New Partner Joins the LCM Team

LCM is pleased to announce that Seye Bassir, formerly Investment Director at Danish Development Finance money manager IFU, is joining LoftyInc Capital Management as Partner and member of the Investment Committee. Seye brings with him years of practical fund management experience, not just in Nigeria but across West Africa. As LCM positions to harvest the ballooning opportunity in the ECOWAS sub-region, his bilingual skills will also come in handy even as he shares some insights why he made the move.

Flutterwave spreads market footprint, debuts in S/Africa


 
Nigerian payment startup, Flutterwave has expanded its services to South Africa – it’s ninth destination on the continent. According to the payment platform, it will penetrate South Africa with its flagship product Rave. The new solution will enable banks and merchants to replace multiple payment integrations with one simple API, which enables processing of any form of payment anywhere in Africa.

Egypt’s Swvl set to debut in Lagos competitive Transport Market
 
Cairo-based transportation startup, Swvl has revealed plans to expand its services to Nigeria. The Egyptian startup will launch in Nigeria’s financial capital – Lagos with 50 buses, this July.
